Deputy Prime Minister orders Vietnam-Germany University to organize workshop on financial center

After listening to Dr. Kambiz Ghawami's sharing, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized that with the aspiration for development, in any field, Vietnam needs high-quality human resources.

On the morning of October 3, receiving Dr. Kambiz Ghawami, President of the World University Support Organization, Federal Republic of Germany (WUS); lecturer at Goethe University Frankfurtfurt on development-related education; Member of the Council of Vietnam-Germany University, Member of the Financial Supervision Committee of the German International Cooperation Organization (GIZ), representative of Hessen State on a working trip to Vietnam, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh affirmed that Vietnam always welcomes and creates the most favorable conditions for businesses to operate.

Welcoming Dr. Kambiz Ghawami to Vietnam, the Deputy Prime Minister congratulated the successful concert performance of the Hessen State Symphony Orchestra on the evening of October 2 at the Hoan Kiem Theater, with the great contribution of Dr.

Informing that he had just led a Vietnamese Government delegation on a working trip to Germany from September 26-30, attending the WAIFC Conference, working with politicians and businesses of Germany and the state of Hessen, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that Vietnam always attaches importance to and wishes to develop a good strategic partnership with Germany in general and with the state of Hessen in particular. The Vietnam-Hessen cooperation is a model of cooperation between Vietnam and Vietnamese localities and German localities.

Through working with the German Government, National Assembly and businesses, the Deputy Prime Minister said that Germany highly appreciates the stability and positive changes in the economy, politics and major policies of Vietnam. Leaders and businesses all want to invest and seek investment opportunities in Vietnam; highly appreciate the policy of building an international financial center in Vietnam.

The Deputy Prime Minister asked Dr. Kambiz Ghawami and the WUS Organization to actively support and strengthen the relationship between Vietnam and Hessen, introduce, promote and call for investors from Germany to Vietnam, especially financial investors to participate in the International Financial Center in Vietnam.

Thanking the Deputy Prime Minister for his time in welcoming them, Dr. Kambiz Ghawami shared about the success of the special concert of the Hessen State Symphony Orchestra on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany; expressing that the musicians were very impressed with the Hoan Kiem Theater, which has sound quality on par with the great theaters in the world.

According to Dr. Kambiz Ghawami, the Deputy Prime Minister's recent trip to Germany was a great success. Ten days ago, the Hessen state government launched a strategy to develop the Frankfurt Financial Center.

After the visit to Germany in March 2025 and the visit to the Vietnam-Germany University in early April 2025 by Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, bilateral cooperation activities have made many positive developments. Enterprises have a clear understanding of Vietnam's policies and future prospects.

Dr. Kambiz Ghawami also exchanged some information about German enterprises that want to learn about investment in Vietnam, expressed his desire to know about the need to train high-quality human resources to include in the curriculum and provide consulting for Vietnam.

The Deputy Prime Minister ordered the Vietnam-Germany University to organize a scientific seminar on financial centers (related to management, operation, legal regulations...), inviting professors and leading financial center managers to exchange information with Vietnamese officials, especially those from Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, to attend and gain more knowledge about financial centers.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Education and Training to synthesize human resource training needs, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to soon work with the Ministry of Finance to propose relevant contents on building and developing an international financial center.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh also said that recently, the Vietnam-Germany University has successfully organized human resource training courses for the International Financial Center, inviting lecturers from Germany to teach at the school has improved the quality of training; said that the need for human resource training for Vietnam's international financial center will continue, it is necessary to promote this effective method./.
