Austria's Adlerhorst, the "room with the best view in the world " at the Dolomitenhütte hotel, is fully booked for two years.
German travel blogger Dzenisa Forlano shared her experience staying in a hotel room with the "best view in the world" during her trip to Lienz Dolomites, Austria, in late December 2023. The room she stayed in, called Adlerhorst, at the Dolomitenhütte Hotel, is located on a high cliff and below is a snowy abyss, with snow-capped mountains in the distance. Adlerhorst is also famous for its two-year waiting list to check in.
Inside the hotel room, you have to wait 2 years for your turn to stay.

The room costs $85 a night, including breakfast with a wide selection of fruits, cereals, and pastries. The bed is covered with a pure white mattress and is placed next to floor-to-ceiling glass windows, allowing guests to see the panoramic view outside. "This is definitely the most romantic hotel room I have ever stayed in," said the female tourist.
Despite the lack of a private bathroom, the room was "worth the two-year wait for," according to the German tourist. "The view and the price are both good," she added.
Despite having to share the bathroom with other guests, the female tourist still expressed satisfaction because "everything was clean".
The Dolomitenhütte, built entirely of pine, has a large lobby with a fireplace, two terraces and a restaurant serving traditional dishes and local specialties. The hotel's new rooms (like Forlano's) are perched on the cliffs of the mountains at an altitude of 1,600 meters.
From the room down to the lobby, visitors can use a toboggan. When going up, people are encouraged to walk to admire the beautiful "fairy tale" winter here.
The hotel is easily accessible by car. Guests can enjoy a variety of activities, including rock climbing, outdoor sports, hiking, and mountain biking. In summer, the cliff-top rooms' terraces are flooded with sunlight and "offer stunning sunsets."

A video of the woman's room has been viewed more than 600,000 times and has garnered hundreds of comments expressing excitement from other visitors. "This is heaven," one viewer commented. "This place is worth the wait, no matter how long it takes," another added.
