Accordingly, Ms. LTĐ. (residing in Thai Binh city, Thai Binh province), mother of candidate LKA, informed online that her child's first round of 10th grade high school entrance exam scores in Literature, Math, and English were 7.25; 4.5 and 4.2 respectively.

On August 20, after the inspection, Ms. D's child's Math score was increased by 1 point to 5.5 points and still passed the first choice to enter Chu Van An High School.
However, the very next morning (August 21), the homeroom teacher of this 9th grade student reported that her child had failed the exam. The family rushed to check the exam scores and were shocked to see that the Literature and English scores remained the same, but the Math score dropped 5 points, down to 0.5; bringing the total score to 21.7, meaning that candidate LKA failed.
Along with the feedback, Ms. D's family provided 3 screenshots showing the candidate's scores changing over the access times.
Ms. D. added that when she came back from the 10th grade entrance exam, when comparing her work with the answers, her child estimated that he got about 5 points in Math.
After receiving the above information, on the afternoon of August 23, the Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province organized a meeting with relevant individuals and units with the participation of representatives of Thai Binh Provincial Police, representatives of Viettel Thai Binh, representatives of the Board of Directors of Hoang Dieu Secondary School, Thai Binh City, and Ms. LTĐ, mother of student LKA.
At the meeting, Ms. D. presented that the Math scores of LKA candidates had changed when looked up at different times on the Thai Binh province's primary admission system, specifically the lookup score on the system before the inspection was 4.5 points in Math.
The lookup score on the system after the inspection (according to parents' feedback) at 9:02 a.m. on August 20 was 5.5 points, at 4:14 p.m. on August 20 was 5.5 points, at 9:00 a.m. on August 21 was 0.5 points.
The family also provided 3 screenshots. The family requested to immediately file a request to review the student's math exam score and requested the department to clarify the above incident.
At the meeting, Viettel Thai Binh representative opened the search history (log) on the Thai Binh province's primary admission system with the witness of meeting participants. The results showed that LKA candidate searched more than 20 times.
All math lookups are 0.5 points (with detailed lookup history attached, including 1 lookup at 9:02:58, which coincides with the time provided by the family).
Then, Viettel Thai Binh staff looked up the LKA candidate's exam scores on the system in front of all members. At the time of looking up, the math score was 0.5 points.
Mr. Dang Xuan Phong, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province, said that he had checked the scores on the score announcement system and did not understand where the data on the LKA candidate's screen came from.
Mr. Phong added that, according to the explanation of experts, there are cases where the numbers on the display screen can be changed but the changed numbers are not saved in the system. The Department has advised parents to file a re-examination application to ensure the rights of candidates.
According to Ms. LTĐ., the family has filed a petition for candidate LKA.
