Japanese Prime Minister Isiba Yoshiko's wife visits the Vietnamese Women's Museum

Japanese Prime Minister Isiba Yoshiko, wife of the Prime Minister of Japan, President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen, and Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Thu Hien took souvenir photos at the solemn hall of the Vietnam Women's Museum.

At the invitation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife Le Thi Bich Tran, Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru, his wife and a high-ranking Japanese delegation arrived in Hanoi , starting an official visit to Vietnam from April 27 to 29, 2025. On the first day, the Vietnamese Women's Museum was one of the destinations that Mrs. Ishiba Yoshiko chose to visit.

At the reception, President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen expressed her joy at welcoming the Madam to the Museum - a place that honors the beauty, silent contributions and important role of Vietnamese women in history as well as in modern life. The President said that the Madam's visit to the Museum at a time when Vietnam is organizing activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day has a special meaning. The President also sent her best wishes to the Japanese delegation for a successful visit to Vietnam.

During the visit, Mrs. Ishiba Yoshiko, President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Thu Hien and other delegates explored valuable documents and artifacts on display at the Museum. The exhibition spaces vividly conveyed stories about the lives, contributions and profound sacrifices of Vietnamese women across the country, from the past to the present.

In particular, when visiting the “Women in History” theme, listening to stories about the resilience and indomitability of Vietnamese women in the two resistance wars, Mrs. Ishiba Yoshiko expressed her deep emotions. She highly appreciated the way the Museum preserves and conveys the cultural and historical values of Vietnam through the image of women, and at the same time expressed her respect for that beauty.

At the end of the visit, Mrs. Ishiba Yoshiko thanked the President of the Vietnam Women's Union, Nguyen Thi Tuyen, for taking the time to receive the delegation and introduce the Vietnam Women's Museum - a meaningful cultural destination. President Nguyen Thi Tuyen also expressed her hope that the Museum will continue to be a bridge to spread the good values of Vietnamese women to international friends.
