Phu Thuy mobilizes people to compete in creative labor and legitimate enrichment.

On the morning of September 26, the 1st Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Phu Thuy Ward (Lam Dong) took place, term 2025 - 2030.

Attending and directing the congress were comrade Pham Trieu, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province, and 149 delegates representing all walks of life in the locality.

Phu Thuy is a coastal ward established on the basis of merging 3 wards: Phu Thuy, Thanh Hai, Phu Hai. The whole ward has 54,049 people, mainly Kinh people, along with some ethnic groups such as Hoa, Tay, Nung, Thai, Muong, Cham.

During the past term, the Ward Fatherland Front promoted its core role with members of the organization and the government to launch patriotic emulation movements, with many practical activities, receiving the support of all classes of people.

The whole ward has 19,546 union members, members of the Veterans Association, Farmers' Association, Women's Association, Youth Union, Trade Union and 115 political key people. This force has mobilized all classes of people to compete, be creative, and effectively carry out campaigns and emulation movements such as: "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", "All people protect national security and prevent and fight crime".

Every year, 23/23 neighborhoods in the ward are recognized as cultural neighborhoods.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Thuy Ward, delivered the opening speech of the Congress.

Notably, the Ward Fatherland Front Committee coordinated with functional agencies to build 21 operating models in the fields of: Security and order, environmental sanitation, legal knowledge, culture and arts, sports, and economic development.

Specifically, the models include: Women's savings groups raising piggy banks to help women in difficulty; groups supporting women in digital transformation; women's groups implementing food hygiene and safety; residential areas protecting the environment; self-managed roads for traffic safety; self-managed youth routes; security cameras, inter-family fire prevention and fighting groups; self-managed neighborhoods to prevent and combat the spread of drugs, etc.

Comrade Pham Trieu, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee presented flowers and a photo of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton to congratulate the Congress.

Over the past year, the ward's Fatherland Front mobilized people to build 13 projects such as a neighborhood cultural house, drainage system, cement concrete road, security cameras, public lighting, with a total cost of more than 1 billion VND.

Through mobilization, the Fatherland Front of the ward and the locality supported 1,453 gifts, nearly 5 tons of rice and 465 million VND in cash for poor households, near-poor households, and Agent Orange victims to celebrate Tet. Religious organizations in the area joined the locality to support 2.3 tons of rice, hundreds of gifts for the disadvantaged, and distribute charity meals every week.

The Ward Fatherland Front Committee also mobilized more than 804 million VND to support the Northern people affected by storm No. 3. Carrying out the work of "Repaying gratitude", the Ward Fatherland Front supported house repairs for meritorious people, and provided financial assistance to 20 meritorious people with a total amount of 150 million VND...

Mr. Pham Trieu, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, gave a speech directing the Congress.

In his speech directing the Congress, comrade Pham Trieu praised the results of the work of the Phu Thuy Ward Front in the past term. In the new term, he suggested that the Ward Fatherland Front closely follow the Resolution of the Ward Party Congress as a basis for implementation. In particular, focusing on 5 practical solutions.

That is to proactively build the organization of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward and the Fatherland Front agency of the ward according to the new model of 2-level government; improve propaganda work, gather and mobilize people to respond to the action programs of the Front; continue to mobilize people to compete in creative labor, start-up, develop production and business, and strive to get rich legitimately.

In addition, the Front continues to improve the work of social supervision and criticism; innovate the content and methods of operation in the new situation; promote the role of Front cadres in residential groups, prestigious people in the community, religious dignitaries and officials, effectively carry out tasks, and be worthy of being a bridge between the Party, the State and the People.

Phu Thuy ward leaders presented certificates of merit to sponsors of poor households in the ward.

The first consultative congress elected 64 members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Thuy ward for the 2025-2030 term. Of which, the Standing Committee consists of 6 comrades, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc holds the position of Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the ward.
