Recently, Hanoi authorities have increased inspection, supervision and post-inspection of food hygiene and safety at food production and trading establishments, catering services, street food, collective kitchens, etc. to protect people's health.

With the drastic intervention of the authorities, many establishments have invested in new, synchronous equipment for production and business activities, and awareness of ensuring food safety has also been raised compared to before.

To ensure food safety and prevent "dirty" food from entering the market, Mr. Dang Thanh Phong said that from now until the end of the year, food safety inspection and control work will continue to be strengthened.

In particular, the city will focus on post-announcement inspections, surprise inspections, and resolutely handle administrative violations in the field of food safety according to regulations.

Mr. Phong also added that the health sector will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies to organize monitoring and analysis of risks to food safety; implement measures to prevent, stop, and warn of food safety incidents; trace the origin, recall, and handle unsafe food according to regulations.

“Absolutely do not allow unsafe food products to circulate on the market; resolutely require production and business establishments that provide food and beverage services that do not ensure food safety to take corrective measures before continuing to operate,” Mr. Phong emphasized.
