Quang Tri: Two young men were awarded the "Brave Youth" badge for saving a drowning person.

On September 8, Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union organized the awarding of the "Brave Youth" badge to two local youths who bravely jumped into the river to save a drowning woman, contributing to spreading the spirit of beautiful and responsible living among the youth.

Authorized by the Central Youth Union Secretariat, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union Inspection Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of Quang Tri province, awarded badges to Vo Hoang Vu (Youth Union member of Thach Ban village branch, Le Thuy commune) and Nguyen Vo Huy Cong (Youth Union of Tuy Loc village branch, Le Thuy commune).

Previously, at around 9:00 p.m. on August 2, 2025, a woman suddenly jumped into the Kien Giang River (near Phong Xuan Bridge, Le Thuy Commune). Discovering the incident, two young men, Vu and Cong, did not hesitate to take the risk and quickly jumped into the water, bringing the victim safely to shore.

The heroic actions of the two young men were highly appreciated by the online community and public opinion, spread widely, and became a shining example of courage and humanity of Quang Tri youth.

The "Brave Youth" badge is a noble award of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, recognizing brave actions and willingness to sacrifice for the safety and happiness of others.
