Quang Tri: Destroyed more than 5 tons of illegal food worth 280 million VND

On the afternoon of September 25, the Asset Destruction Council of the Market Management Department of Quang Tri province deployed a plan and organized the destruction of all confiscated administrative violation evidence.

Accordingly, the destroyed goods included more than 5,359 kg of various foods, including 1,498 kg of refined sugar from Thailand and 3,861 kg of frozen foods produced abroad, with a total value of over VND280 million. These were smuggled goods, without documents, expired or not of guaranteed quality according to regulations.

All of the above goods were destroyed at the Dong Hoi - Bo Trach landfill (Nam Trach commune). The destruction process was closely monitored by council members, ensuring safety, compliance with regulations, and preventing loss or misuse of evidence.
