The National Assembly closed the 8th session, decided on the policy of building a high-speed railway.

(VTC News) – On the last working day of the 8th session, the National Assembly will vote to approve the Resolution on investment policy for the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis.

On October 30, the National Assembly entered the last working day of the 8th Session.

According to the agenda, at the beginning of the morning working session, the National Assembly held a plenary session in the hall, voting to pass three laws and resolutions, including: Law on Juvenile Justice; Resolution on the establishment of Hue City under the Central Government; Resolution on the organization of urban government in Hai Phong City.

Next, National Assembly delegates will discuss in the hall the draft Law on Digital Technology Industry. The Minister of Information and Communications will explain and clarify a number of issues raised by National Assembly delegates.

From 11:20 a.m., the National Assembly held a separate meeting to vote on the National Assembly Resolution on specific mechanisms and policies to remove difficulties and obstacles for projects and land in the inspection, examination and judgment conclusions in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang City and Khanh Hoa Province.

In the afternoon, the National Assembly held a plenary session in the hall, voting to pass the following contents: Law on Data; Law on Electricity (amended); Resolution on pilot implementation of commercial housing projects through agreements on receiving land use rights or having land use rights; Resolution on investment policy for high-speed railway projects on the North-South axis.

From 3:30 p.m., the National Assembly held its closing session.

At the closing session, the National Assembly voted to pass: Resolution on questions and answers; Resolution of the 8th Session, 15th National Assembly.

The meeting's resolution will include the following contents: policy on additional state capital investment at the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam; adjustment of the National Land Use Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050; adjustment of the investment policy for the Long Thanh International Airport Project in Resolution No. 94 of the National Assembly; solutions to continue removing difficulties caused by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic so that Vietnam Airlines Corporation can soon recover and develop sustainably; and reduction of value added tax.

Then, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man delivered the closing speech of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
