The National Assembly approved the dismissal of two Deputy Prime Ministers and two Ministers.

(Dan Tri) - The National Assembly approved the dismissal of a Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Justice to take up other duties. At the same time, the National Assembly approved the dismissal of a Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment due to their retirement from work.

The 8th extraordinary session held on August 26 was held by the National Assembly to review personnel matters under its authority, including approving the dismissal of a number of positions. Speaking at the closing session on the afternoon of August 26, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said the National Assembly approved the dismissal of Mr. Tran Luu Quang from the position of Deputy Prime Minister, because Mr. Quang was previously mobilized, assigned, and appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Head of the Central Economic Commission.

The National Assembly also approved the Prime Minister's proposal to dismiss Mr. Le Thanh Long from the position of Minister of Justice for the 2021-2026 term. Mr. Long was approved by the National Assembly to be appointed as Deputy Prime Minister in early June. According to the National Assembly Chairman , at this extraordinary session, the National Assembly also approved the dismissal of Mr. Le Minh Khai from the position of Deputy Prime Minister and Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh from the position of Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, due to his retirement from work.

On August 3, the Party Central Committee met and agreed to let Mr. Le Minh Khai resign from his position as Secretary of the Party Central Committee and member of the 13th Party Central Committee; and to let Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh resign from his position as member of the 13th Party Central Committee.
