Launching the Youth Club of Dong Thuan Secondary School

(CT) - On the morning of September 26, Can Tho City Social Work Center coordinated to organize the launching ceremony of the model "Education and prevention of children falling into special circumstances" (Tuoi Hong Club) at Dong Thuan Secondary School, Dong Thuan Commune, Can Tho City.

The Board of Directors of the Youth Club received the decision to establish and the model's symbolic board.

The Youth Club of Dong Thuan Secondary School has 50 members with special circumstances or living in families at risk of falling into special circumstances. By joining the club, members are equipped with knowledge, develop self-defense skills, avoid abuse and violence; and exchange, discuss, and share knowledge and experiences in studying and living. This is the 24th Youth Club established in schools in the city, with over 1,100 members.

On this occasion, the City Social Work Center mobilized benefactors to award 10 scholarships (worth 500,000 VND/scholarship), 9 health insurance cards and 5 bicycles (worth 1,450,000 VND/bicycle) to members in difficult circumstances...
