Launch of memoir about Professor Tran Hong Quan

The book consists of 3 parts, part 1: "Memoirs - Once a boat, it must set sail", part 2: "Voice of the heart" and part 3 is "Speeches and writings of Professor Tran Hong Quan".

The memoirs of Professor Tran Hong Quan are his life full of ups and downs from his childhood in his hometown with his family, then growing up and moving to the North, striving to study to become a lecturer at the University of Technology.

After studying abroad and returning to the country, he devoted almost his entire life to the country 's education and training career in different positions and responsibilities, especially as "Commander" of the industry during the difficult and challenging period when the country began the renovation process.

Part 2 is poems and lyrical songs composed by the Professor himself. And the last part is 21 articles and speeches during the educational activities of Professor Tran Hong Quan. These are his views, visions, passions, and concerns, expressing his progressive thinking, ahead of his time.

The book is considered a document of lasting value for the education and training sector in particular and for the country in general.

Prof. Dr. Tran Hong Quan was born in 1937 in Soc Trang . Having held many positions and working environments, he has always devoted his heart and mind and made many great contributions to the cause of education and training of the country. He has held positions such as: Member of the Party Central Committee, terms 6, 7 and 8; National Assembly delegate, terms 8 and 10.

Prof. Dr. Tran Hong Quan was the Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology from 1976 to 1982, held the positions of Deputy Minister of Universities and Vocational Secondary Schools and then Minister of Education and Training from 1982 to 1997.

He then held other positions such as: Chairman of the Association of Non-Public Universities and Colleges of Vietnam, Chairman of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Vietnam. He passed away in August 2023.
