Two night tours of Ponagar Tower “Sacred Land of Agarwood” and “Moonlight Reflecting the Tower” will take place on the first and fifteenth day of the lunar month, respectively, starting from August 4, 2024 (July 1, the year of the Dragon), according to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Monument Conservation Center.
The program costs 30,000 VND/person/turn; starting at 7:30 p.m., locals and tourists will be able to immerse themselves in traditional rituals and enjoy unique Cham art for about 45-60 minutes.

Mr. Tran Duc Ha, Director of Khanh Hoa Province Monuments Conservation Center, said that the two above-mentioned sightseeing and experience programs were carried out in the form of semi-realistic stage behind the South Tower, contributing to the harmony between the beautiful scenery of the tower at night and the beauty of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.
At the program, people and tourists listened to explanations and introductions about the temple complex with its historical, cultural, architectural, and sculptural values... and immersed themselves in religious and belief activities, enjoyed many unique art forms, or experienced the traditional crafts of the Cham people.
Visitors do not visit freely but follow a certain itinerary built by the organizers, determined into a continuous story line, which is both convenient for introduction and helps visitors easily feel the value of Ponagar Tower.

According to Mr. Tran Duc Ha, implementing the direction of the Department of Culture and Sports , the Center has coordinated with relevant units to develop and complete the script of the art program. At the same time, a document was sent to the Department of Tourism, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, and tourism businesses to support and cooperate in organizing to bring tourists to Ponagar Tower to experience the two programs.
The two programs “Moonlight reflecting on the tower” and “Linh linh xu Tram” are considered one of the cultural and artistic activities associated with the Project on developing the night-time economy of Khanh Hoa province, as well as the work of preserving and promoting the values of cultural heritage. Along with that, creating a healthy playground for people and tourists to have practical experiences of traditional folk culture and art, directly participating in propaganda and promotion work to preserve and promote the values of cultural heritage through practical activities.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nhuan, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Khanh Hoa province, said that after being organized as a pilot program, the program of visiting Ponagar Tower at night received the attention of many people and tourists. The unit also organized an evaluation, learned from experience, completed the organization plan, and from there built and implemented a monthly program with different themes throughout the year, prioritizing the exploitation of the good traditional cultural values associated with the Ponagar Tower relic to attract tourists.

Ponagar Tower is located on Cu Lao hill, next to Cai river (Nha Trang city), is a complex of Cham temple towers built in the middle of the 8th century. The relic complex has a total area of about 5.7 hectares, with typical values in many aspects, such as history, architecture, sculpture, inscriptions, religion...
In 1979, Ponagar Tower was ranked as a national historical and cultural relic by the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism). In 2012, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism recognized the Ponagar Tower Festival as a national intangible cultural heritage.
