More than 1,000 newspapers of Vietnam News Agency have been carefully prepared and distributed free of charge to each passenger. Here, Vietnam News Agency has brought passengers outstanding publications such as Vietnam and World Economic Semi-Monthly, Sports & Culture Newspaper, News Newspaper, Vietnam News Newspaper, Le Courrier du Vietnam Newspaper... Diverse in languages, from Vietnamese, English to French, the newspapers not only meet the information needs of domestic tourists but also serve international tourists. The presence of mainstream newspapers on the "Hanoi 5-Cua O" train has created a special mark, connecting current news with cultural and tourist experiences. These are not only newspapers to read while traveling, but also "spiritual food" to help tourists update economic, cultural and social information in a timely manner.
Passengers boarding the train can easily see stacks of newspapers neatly placed in convenient locations. Many people have not yet chosen their seats but have already taken a publication to read. For them, the train is not only a journey to see the scenery of the Capital and Kinh Bac region through the window, but also an “information train”, where hot issues of economic and social life are vividly reflected through each article.
Ms. Phung Thi Thanh Nhan, a passenger from Hanoi, shared: “The publications of Vietnam News Agency capture the current economic and social flow, which is very useful for us. This is a quick and reliable way to access information during this short trip.”
Sharing the same view, Ms. Ngo Lan Phuong (Hanoi) expressed her excitement: “The first time experiencing the 5-gate train, we were not only served attentively but also had the opportunity to read the Vietnam News Agency newspaper with full official information. This creates trust and hope that Vietnam News Agency will continue to bring more updated news.”
Since its official departure on September 6, the "Hanoi 5-gate" train has welcomed thousands of visitors. The main innovation is the combination of rail tourism and mainstream media, creating a unique tourism product. Mr. Le Xuan Thanh, Director of the Center for Digital Content and Communications - VNA, said that the free promotion program of VNA newspapers was carried out from September 15 to December 31. The information products put on the train are all strategic products of VNA. Putting products on the train also helps promote VNA products to reach more readers and will be spread on different information channels through this tourist train.
Mr. Tao Duc Hiep, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BHL Tourism Service Trading Joint Stock Company, the unit coordinating with Vietnam News Agency to deploy this model, said: “Vietnam News Agency is the information agency of the Government, so bringing official press publications to passengers will help them grasp the socio-economic situation quickly and accurately. We believe that this is an important plus point that helps the train become popular with many people.”
Behind the free newspaper pages is a message about the connection between the past and the present, between traditional values and innovative creativity. Trains, a means of transport that has been associated with Hanoi for more than a century, have now been given a new coat, both a cultural space and a place to spread information. The newspaper pages on the train have become a bridge connecting passengers with the flow of current events, so that each trip is not only a journey of movement, but also a journey of knowledge.
