According to the Yangcheng Evening News, Ms. Duong and her husband departed from Foshan on May 30.
Over the past 120 days, the couple has covered more than 36,000km and traveled through 32 countries in an SUV. They plan to return to China at the end of October.

"Both my husband and I are about to turn 60. This is the gift I want to give myself on my upcoming special birthday," Ms. Duong shared.

The couple's journey was constantly updated by Mrs. Duong on social networks. Together they crossed the vast steppes of Kazakhstan, sat on famous hot air balloons in Türkiye, set foot on San Marco Square, hunted for the Northern Lights in Iceland...

Mrs. Duong said that although they encountered some difficulties along the way such as flat tires and obstacles at customs, the couple never thought of giving up.

Talking about the reason for starting the long journey from Asia to Europe, Mrs. Duong shared that before retiring, it was often difficult for the couple to arrange a long trip together.
However, Iceland has always been Mrs. Duong’s dream destination. After seeing many travelers sharing their experiences of long-distance car travel, she decided to go with her husband.
Before this year's Lunar New Year, the couple had planned, prepared finances and foreign visas so that the trip could go smoothly.
