On these days 69 years ago, from the five gates of Hanoi , Uncle Ho's soldiers marched in, taking over and liberating the capital, ending the glorious victory of nine arduous years of resistance against the French, writing more glorious pages of our nation's tradition of fighting against foreign invaders.
Looking back at the history of more than 1000 years of Thang Long - Dong Do, this land of talented people not only had resistance against the French, but also before that against the Northern invaders and later the Resistance War against the Americans to save the country and the wars to defend the sovereignty of the sacred Border and Islands of the Fatherland. The soldiers of the Capital have set foot in all parts of the country.
Moreover, as the economic and political center of the countries, Hanoi always has a very important position in both wartime and peacetime. The image of Hanoi soldiers is always imprinted in the hearts of the people of the capital in particular and the whole country in general.
With that meaning, to connect Hanoians who carry within them the “Heart of a soldier”; contribute to honoring and expressing gratitude to those who have contributed to building and protecting the Fatherland; at the same time, “fueling the tradition” for the younger generation; after a year of active mobilization and preparation, the “Capital Soldier Heart” Club was officially launched.

Those are the heroic pages of our nation’s history, written by the blood and bones of countless generations who sacrificed their youth for the Fatherland. Not only the heroes and martyrs in military uniforms, but also many people have fallen to protect the homeland.
In particular, the thousand-year-old capital Hanoi has witnessed many fierce battles in the resistance war and the peace-building process today. We feel it is our responsibility to show gratitude to our comrades, especially the soldiers who have dedicated their youth to the homeland."
