On September 14, news from the People's Committee of Duc Binh commune, Dak Lak province said that functional forces and local people are trying to search for victims swept away by water on the Ba River passing through the commune.

According to initial information, at 4:00 p.m. on September 13, the children: LMYS, KYT (both 9 years old, 4th grade) and KYL (6 years old, 1st grade, all living in Duc Binh commune), invited each other to go swimming in the river. While swimming, all three children were swept away by the water.

Authorities are trying to search for missing victims on the Ba River.

Hearing screams and calls for help, people in the nearby area ran to save KYL. Only LMYS and KYT were missing.

At 5:30 p.m. the same day, the authorities found KYT's body and handed it over to his family for funeral arrangements. LMYS's remains have not been found.

Local authorities requested Song Ba Ha Hydropower Plant to close the water to support the search, and at the same time mobilize maximum local forces to search for the victims.
