Eager to come to the loving Mid-Autumn Festival, the children enjoyed joyful and colorful performances by children of Truong Thanh Kindergarten; played games with Uncle Cuoi and Sister Hang; listened to Uncle Ho's poems about his longing for children on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival...

After the performances and games, 20 poor and studious students were awarded scholarships (VND 500,000/scholarship). The scholarships were sponsored by the Party Cell of the Readers - Audience - Listeners Department of Can Tho Newspaper and Radio and Television, mobilizing benefactors.

200 disadvantaged children were given loving mid-autumn gifts sponsored by Co.op mart Can Tho Supermarket; Kien Long Bank O Mon branch and other benefactors. The total value of scholarships and gifts is over 30 million VND.

In recent times, the press and radio agencies of Can Tho, Soc Trang , and the old Hau Giang (now Can Tho Newspaper, Radio, and Television) have regularly mobilized philanthropists to organize "Skillful Mass Mobilization" programs, build houses of Charity, build traffic bridges, award scholarships to help the poor go to school, give gifts to the poor, etc. on the occasion of holidays, Tet, and the beginning of the school year. The Mid-Autumn Festival of Love has been maintained and organized by Can Tho Newspaper (before the merger) in coordination with localities for more than 5 years, and continues to be implemented by Can Tho Newspaper, Radio, and Television, in order to contribute to bringing joy to children in difficult circumstances on Mid-Autumn Day. Thereby, encouraging them to overcome difficulties, study well, and strive to become useful citizens for society.
