Sabeco joins hands to develop a generation of Vietnamese talent

Accompanying activities to support young entrepreneurs, investing in sports... Sabeco fulfills its commitment to building a talented young generation, contributing to the development of the country.

These activities are all part of the goal of "bringing the best to Vietnam, committed to sustainable development" of Saigon Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation (Sabeco). To create positive impacts with far-reaching influence, the company uses a three-party cooperation model to optimize the resources of stakeholders in community projects. Sabeco representative said that the focus of building the most elite generation of talents is focused on two aspects: promoting economic capacity, self-development for rural youth; and promoting youth talent in the field of sports.

In 2022, Sabeco signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (Central Youth Union) with the goal of developing Vietnamese talent, building a generation of the most outstanding talents to promote the development of the community and the country of Vietnam.

In particular, businesses focus on supporting the development of young talents; accompanying young people in starting and establishing businesses; supporting livelihoods; training and improving competitiveness for small and medium-sized businesses; encouraging and honoring workers with outstanding achievements.

Specifically, the Central Youth Union coordinated with Sabeco to implement a series of programs "Improving youth capacity". Intensive training sessions led by economic experts and leading enterprises have fostered knowledge and shared experiences for start-ups and young people with aspirations to get rich from agriculture, promoting digital transformation of agriculture and implementing green agricultural economy for sustainable development. As of 2023, the program has attracted more than 500 young people to directly participate in training sessions from Lao Cai, Lam Dong, Quang Ngai, Khanh Hoa, Ha Nam, Can Tho provinces and online channels.

The company also accompanies the Luong Dinh Cua Award, which is held annually to honor young people with outstanding business models, contributing to solving the employment needs of workers, promoting socio-economic development in rural areas and in the agricultural sector. In two consecutive years accompanying the award, Sabeco and the Central Youth Union have honored 74 outstanding young people, creating motivation for rural youth to strive to get rich. With the accompaniment of Sabeco, from 2022, the award ceremony is also an opportunity for young people and businesses honored in previous years to gather to share experiences and encourage business cooperation opportunities between companies in the Luong Dinh Cua network.

In addition, the enterprise and the Central Youth Union organize annual rural youth startup project competitions nationwide; in-depth seminars on startups and entrepreneurship such as "Rural youth aspire to get rich from agriculture", "High-tech agriculture - Opportunities and Challenges"...

In terms of sports, in May 2022, Sabeco signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Accordingly, Sabeco focuses on activities to support the organization of the 31st SEA Games, with the Saigon Beer brand as the diamond sponsor and the sole sponsor of the Doping Control Program at the 31st SEA Games; cheering on the spirit of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation participating in the 31st SEA Games; and supporting the development of Vietnamese sports talents through the community program "Vietnam Wins Gold".

With the "Vietnam Wins Gold" initiative, Sabeco and Saigon Beer have supported a total of VND5 billion for 50 talented athletes of the national team; athletes participating in international competitions in many sports such as archery, badminton, gymnastics, karate, swimming, weightlifting, wushu...; and additional equipment for archery and badminton.

In July 2023, Saigon Beer business and brand continued to award 2.89 billion VND to Vietnamese athletes who won gold medals at the 32nd SEA Games held in Cambodia.
