Vietnam General Confederation of Labor launched a campaign to support people in flood-affected areas.

On the afternoon of October 2, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) launched a campaign to support people affected by storm No. 10 (Bualoi). Responding to the call, many officials, union members, and employees of agencies and units under the VGCL participated in the support with the hope of contributing a small part, adding strength to help people in the storm and flood areas overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu said: In recent days, storm No. 10 has affected 18 provinces, mainly the Central and Northern provinces. This is one of the storms with the strongest gusts of wind in recent years, causing huge losses in human lives and property. Many areas were deeply flooded, landslides occurred on a large scale, causing traffic disruption and disrupting people's lives. In particular, many schools and school sites in the areas were severely affected, damaged, and seriously degraded, making it impossible for students to return to class... Among those affected by storm No. 10, there are a number of union members and workers.

"With the spirit of "mutual love" and "helping each other", the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor calls on all cadres, union members, and workers in the agencies and affiliated units to join hands in donating and supporting the people of the Central provinces and some other localities that are heavily affected by storms and floods", comrade Ngo Duy Hieu called.

Following the call of comrade Ngo Duy Hieu, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and units under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor donated 372,650,000 VND, giving strength to people in flood-affected areas to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
