OCOP products, Vietnamese handicrafts participate in the International Handicraft Fair in Europe

On November 30, the opening ceremony of the Vietnam National Pavilion took place at the 2024 AF-L'ARTIGIANO IN FIERA International Handicraft Fair in Milan, Italy.

In order to promote, introduce, connect and develop distribution channels for OCOP products in foreign markets, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development organizes the Vietnam National Pavilion at the AF-L'ARTIGIANO IN FIERA International Handicraft Fair in 2024.

The program is part of a series of tasks under the National Target Program on New Rural Construction of the Central New Rural Coordination Office assigned to the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center to take charge of implementation.

The Vietnam national pavilion has an area of ​​100m2 with the participation of 10 business units and nearly 100 OCOP products, typical handicraft products with export potential of Vietnam such as: Embroidery, silk, rattan, interior and exterior decoration, carving, handbags; gift products; and Vietnam's strong food products such as: cashew nuts, tea, macadamia, fruit juice, dried fruits of all kinds...

With the theme "Vietnam OCOP products: Convergence of values ​​- Spreading culture", the Vietnam National Pavilion is organized with an open space, combined with experience and product tasting services, convenient for visitors to experience and learn about regional products and culture.

In which, the target products are 5-star OCOP products, OCOP products that have won typical awards in the Mekong Delta region, and handicraft products that have won awards in the Vietnam Handicraft Products contest organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Activities of displaying images and videos promoting OCOP products associated with typical regional culture and rural tourism of Vietnam; introducing products, receiving feedback from customers (distribution businesses, consumers, etc.) about Vietnamese products also took place.

Immediately after the delegates cut the ribbon to open the Vietnam National Pavilion, it opened its doors to visitors and attracted many international visitors to visit, trade and experience.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Minh - Director of the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center - said that the Vietnam National Pavilion at the 2024 AF-L'ARTIGIANO IN FIERA International Handicraft Fair in Milan (Italy) will display, promote and introduce Vietnamese OCOP products and typical handicraft products with export advantages of Vietnam to trade units and consumers of European countries.

At the same time, introduce to visitors the typical regional culture of Vietnam through the stories of Vietnamese OCOP products. In addition, support businesses, cooperatives and OCOP entities to promote, connect information, exchange experiences to help gradually perfect products, promote trade cooperation opportunities in the EU market.

The fair will last from November 30 to December 8 at the Event Center in Milan, Italy.
