After being recognized as a tourist destination, Da Lat station entrance tickets increased 10 times.

On September 10, the Saigon Railway Exploitation Branch, Vietnam Railway Corporation announced that it will increase the entrance ticket price to Da Lat station (Da Lat city, Lam Dong ) from October 1.

Accordingly, the ticket price for people aged 6 and over will be 50,000 VND/trip; free tickets for people with disabilities and children under 6 years old accompanied by an adult.

It is known that the new ticket price is 10 times higher than the current ticket price (5,000 VND/trip). This ticket only applies to sightseeing, entertainment and using some free services in the Da Lat station architectural relic area, not including transportation fees to experience the Da Lat - Trai Mat railway route.

According to the Saigon Railway Operation Branch, the ticket price increase is based on the decision of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to recognize Da Lat station as a tourist destination. The goal of the ticket price increase is to ensure resources for maintenance, preservation, and upgrading of Da Lat station's infrastructure, meeting national heritage standards.

Da Lat Railway Station was built by the French in 1932 with a unique architecture. This is also the train station with the "one of a kind" cog railway in Vietnam.

Da Lat Railway Station was designed by French architects. The front of the building has 3 roofs, simulating the 3 peaks of Langbiang Mountain and the roofs of the communal houses of the Central Highlands.

This station is part of the plan to build the Thap Cham ( Ninh Thuan ) - Da Lat (Lam Dong) railway line. In the past, this railway line had a total length of 84km, connecting the highland city with the North - South railway line.

Today, Da Lat station maintains a tourist train consisting of 1 regular locomotive and 3 carriages running the inner-city route Da Lat station - Trai Mat station with a total length of 7km.

On this route, visitors can experience a train journey on the plateau, admire the scenery of Da Lat and enjoy music. The ticket price for the experience train route is currently 72,000-100,000 VND/trip.
