SCIC will divest all capital from Quang Nam Electricity Construction Joint Stock Company (because SCIC receives the right to represent state capital ownership from the People's Committee of Quang Nam province).

According to the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC), in 2024, SCIC will continue to sell state capital in enterprises operating in fields that the state does not need to hold or control in order to focus investment resources on key industries and fields that the state needs to hold for a long time.

Accordingly, SCIC will divest all capital at Quang Nam Electricity Construction Joint Stock Company (because SCIC received the right to represent state capital ownership from the People's Committee of Quang Nam province).

SCIC requested the People's Committee of Quang Nam province to direct the Department of Finance and relevant departments and branches to coordinate and support SCIC so that the sale of state capital can be carried out on schedule and effectively.

Regarding this issue, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province has just assigned the Department of Finance to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade and relevant agencies and units to study the content of SCIC's proposal on divesting state capital at Quang Nam Electricity Construction Joint Stock Company, of which SCIC is the owner representative, to coordinate and support SCIC in implementing the plan to sell state capital in accordance with regulations, and report to the Provincial People's Committee for monitoring.

Previously, in 2022, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province requested the Provincial Party Committee Office to be responsible for reviewing and reporting on the management and use of dividends received over the years and the funding source for divestment from Quang Nam Electricity Construction Joint Stock Company; completing documents and procedures related to the transfer of the right to represent the capital owner from the Provincial Party Committee Office to the Provincial People's Committee for management; thoroughly instructing representatives of state capital at companies (currently owned by the Provincial Party Committee Office) to report to the owners for consideration and comments before voting on important contents such as divestment, investment, dividend distribution, business plans, etc.
