On the morning of October 21, the weather in Da Nang had intermittent rain mixed with light sunshine. Meanwhile, the Han River water is currently murky.
In particular, the section of Nhu Nguyet Street - the area leading to the Han River estuary - had quite strong gusts of wind. A whole section of the sidewalk of this street was continuously hit by high waves. Water flowed in, causing local flooding in some areas. Many sidewalk tiles were lifted off the ground due to the water pressure.

Currently, the city is implementing construction and renovation of Nhu Nguyet route to overcome the effects of storms, high tides, and sea waves in recent times.
A resident in Hai Chau ward (Da Nang) said that on the same morning the waves at the Han River mouth were very fierce, crashing heavily onto the shore.
Faced with the forecast of approaching storm No. 12 and widespread heavy rain in the coming days, the Da Nang City government has requested communes and wards to immediately activate disaster prevention plans.
The city leaders also asked localities to inform people to prepare food and necessities for at least 3 days. All plans must be ready before 5pm on October 22nd...
