At 3:30 p.m. this afternoon (March 1), the opening ceremony of the 3rd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament - 2025 THACO Cup (TNSV THACO Cup 2025) will take place at Ton Duc Thang University Stadium (District 7, Ho Chi Minh City).

The 12 best representatives from 6 regions across the country are ready to contribute to the top, beautiful and student football competitions. These teams are: Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports, Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports, Hue University, Quy Nhon University, Dong Nai University of Technology, Tra Vinh University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, Van Hien University and the host team Ton Duc Thang University.

After the Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament ends, Thanh Nien Newspaper will continue to organize the international Youth Student Football Tournament, from March 22 to March 30, also at Ton Duc Thang University Stadium.

Ton Duc Thang University Stadium is the venue for the final matches of the exciting tournament for students.

VTV's top leader emphasized that VTV will closely accompany Thanh Nien Newspaper in both of these exciting tournaments.

Director of Vietnam Television Center in Ho Chi Minh City (VTV9) Tu Luong also affirmed that under the direction of VTV General Director Nguyen Thanh Lam, VTV9 is committed to providing full support so that the beautiful images of the two tournaments can be widely spread, serving fans across the country. Accordingly, VTV9 will broadcast live the events and 4 matches of the two tournaments.

This is considered an unpredictable match when Ton Duc Thang University has both home field advantage and a tradition of being in the top 4 strongest teams twice in the past. Meanwhile, the representative from the West, Tra Vinh University, has also affirmed its superior strength when it has won the only ticket in this region to participate in the final round twice in a row. Last season, they also reached the quarterfinals.

The 3rd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament - 2025 - THACO Cup had a surprising development from the qualifying round and the final round promises to be very unpredictable. For the first time, both the defending champion and the defending runner-up had to stop right from the qualifying round. Only 5 out of 12 teams that participated in the final round last season continued to participate.

This year's tournament witnessed the appearance of many notable newcomers, including Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism - the team that eliminated the runner-up, Thuy Loi University. Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - Vietnam National University also participated in the final round for the first time, along with Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry. In particular, the return of former champion Hue University promises to make this year's race more dramatic right from the first rounds. The champion team and the reinforced home team (Ton Duc Thang University) will represent Vietnam to compete in the 2025 International Youth Student Football Tournament taking place from March 22 to March 30, 2025.

Although the costs have increased, the teams are still supported by the organizing committee from travel by Vietnam Airlines to staying in the Saigontourist Group system.
