According to the report of the Domestic Market Department ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ), on February 12 (the 3rd day of Tet), purchasing power and goods supply were more abundant. In localities, more supermarkets, shops, and stalls at traditional markets reopened for business, and trading activities were busier than on the 2nd day of Tet.

In the supermarket system, the source of goods is still abundant, diverse, and the selling price is stable compared to before Tet.

Purchasing power on the third day of Tet is bustling again.

At traditional markets, in addition to fruits for offerings at the beginning of the year, the items sold are mainly fresh foods (seafood, beef, vegetables) to serve people's consumption needs at the beginning of the year.

Compared to the days before Tet (28th - 30th of Tet), the prices of vegetables and fresh flowers at the market generally did not increase much. Fresh food items such as beef and seafood only increased slightly (according to the law) and were relatively stable compared to the second day of Tet. Although demand began to increase, the supply was relatively abundant so there was no sudden price increase.

According to the Domestic Market Department, in general, the market is moving according to normal rules, there is no shortage of goods, price fever, causing market instability.

"It is forecasted that on the fourth day of Tet, many supermarkets, convenience stores, traditional markets and grocery stores will start to open more stores, and the products on sale will also be more diverse. However, consumer demand in the market has not increased much, the products consumed in large quantities are still mainly food, especially vegetables, fruits, beef and seafood," the Domestic Market Department said.

According to a survey, the prices of some specific items on the third day of Tet are as follows:

Food prices are stable: high-quality rice (Tam Xoan, Tam Hai Hau) from 22,000-45,000 VND/kg; sticky rice 27,000-37,000 VND/kg.

Fresh food items: At supermarkets, food prices are stable. At some retail markets, prices are similar to the second day of Tet and the days before Tet. Pork prices are generally at 120,000-150,000 VND/kg; pork shoulder, lean shoulder, and loin fluctuate at 100,000-130,000 VND/kg; CP's ready-made chicken prices commonly fluctuate from: 150,000-180,000 VND/kg; beef tenderloin fluctuates from 280,000-300,000 VND/kg; Seafood prices remain at the same level as the market on the 29th and 30th of Tet; shrimp prices (26-30 pieces/kg): 300,000-400,000 VND/kg; Grass carp: 90,000-120,000 VND/kg...

Processed food: Popular price of pork roll is 150,000-180,000 VND/kg.

Food, beverage, and soft drink technology products (stable): retail sugar at 30,000 - 32,000 VND/kg; cooking oil: 40,000 - 45,000 VND/liter, equivalent to normal prices; Heineken canned beer from 450,000 - 480,000 VND/carton; Cocacola, Pepsi 190,000 - 210,000 VND/carton; Hanoi canned beer price 270,000 - 300,000 VND/carton.
