Strengthening coordination between Market Management Departments in the Central Highlands region

This afternoon (June 24), in Vinh city, the 17th Conference to review the coordination work between the Market Management Departments of provinces and cities in the Central Highlands and Central Highlands regions and to celebrate the 67th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Market Management Force (July 3, 1975 - July 3, 2024) took place.

Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee represented the provincial leaders to present flowers to congratulate the Market Management force on its traditional day.

Attending the conference on behalf of Nghe An province were comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of Steering Committee 389 and related departments and branches; representatives of the General Director of the General Department of Market Management.

Overview of the conference.

Following the direction of the Government , the National Steering Committee 389, the General Department of Market Management and localities, the Market Management Department of 18 provinces and cities in the Central Highlands region have proactively implemented plans to inspect and control the market; Coordinated, exchanged information, and coordinated between units. Since then, many large-scale violations have been promptly detected, inspected, and handled, contributing to effectively preventing smuggling, trade fraud, and illegal business.

From June 2023 to the end of May 2024, the Market Management Department of provinces and cities in the Central Highlands region detected and handled more than 19,500 violations in the commercial field, with a total fine of over 90 billion VND.

On behalf of the leaders of Nghe An province, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh congratulated and commended the contributions of the market management force of the whole country in general, and 18 provinces in the Central - Central Highlands region in particular after 67 years of construction and development. In the development trend of the country's economy, there are many difficulties and challenges on the front of market control and inspection, fighting against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods, and fighting against other illegal production and business activities. Therefore, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh requested the Market Management force of the Central - Central Highlands region to strengthen the connection and unification of policies and organization of actions between provinces in the region to improve effectiveness and efficiency, complete political tasks, and contribute to the implementation of the Politburo's Resolutions on socio-economic development, national defense and security in the North Central region, Central Coast and Central Highlands.

At the conference, the Market Management Departments of 18 provinces and cities in the Central Highlands shared and exchanged experiences to continue to effectively implement the regulations on coordination of work; continue to maintain the exchange of information on developments and situations of market inspection and control activities; and strengthen coordination in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods.
