According to information from the Investment Electronic Newspaper - Baodautu.vn, Masterise Group Joint Stock Company has just sent a proposal to implement the Gia Binh International Airport Construction Investment Project to the competent authority.
Up to this point, Masterise Group is the first domestic enterprise to propose the Gia Binh International Airport Construction Investment Project. Gia Binh International Airport is also the first transport infrastructure project that Masterise Group has directly registered to invest in.
In Decision No. 1204/QD-BXD dated April 1, 2025 of the Ministry of Construction , Gia Binh International Airport is built in the communes of Gia Binh, Luong Tai, Nhan Thang, Lam Thao - Bac Ninh, with airport level 4E and is an airport for shared civil, security and defense purposes.
During the period 2021 - 2030, Gia Binh International Airport is planned to have a capacity of about 30 million passengers/year and 1.6 million tons of cargo/year; the types of aircraft in operation are B777, B787, A350, A321 and other special and special-purpose aircraft; the approach and landing method is according to CAT III standards for runway 07L/25R, CAT II standards for runway 07R/25L.
Vision to 2050, Gia Binh International Airport will have a capacity of about 50 million passengers/year and 2.5 million tons of cargo/year; types of aircraft in operation are B777, B787, A350, A321 and other special and special aircraft; landing approach method: according to CAT III standard for 4 runways 07L/25R, 07R/25L, 06L/24R and 06R/24L.
Compared to other airports in Vietnam, Gia Binh International Airport stands out with its number of runways, aircraft parking lots and usable area.
Specifically, for the runway system, in the period 2021 - 2030, Gia Binh International Airport is planned to have 2 runways in the direction 07-25 in the Northern area, size (3,500 x 45) m, distance between 2 runways about 366 m; material margin size according to regulations.
Vision to 2050, Gia Binh International Airport plans 2 runways 06-24 direction in the Southern area, size (3,500 x 45) m, distance between 2 runways about 366 m; material margin size according to regulations.
Regarding aircraft parking, in the period 2021 - 2030, Gia Binh International Airport is planned to have an aircraft parking lot in the passenger terminal and cargo terminal area to accommodate about 81 parking positions.
By 2050, Gia Binh International Airport will expand the aircraft parking lot around the passenger terminal and cargo terminal to accommodate about 123 parking positions; reserve for expansion when needed.
Land use demand for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 of Gia Binh International Airport is about 1,959.95 hectares, of which land planned for civil aviation works is about 957.65 hectares; land planned for shared airport works is about 927.23 hectares; security land managed by the Ministry of Public Security is about 75.07 hectares.
Another highlight related to the planning of aviation service facilities is that Gia Binh International Airport is planned to have a Terminal serving special aircraft - VIP Terminal in the southwest area of the passenger terminal, south of the special aircraft parking area; the land area is about 5.4 hectares.
Regarding the passenger terminal, in the period 2021 - 2030, Gia Binh International Airport is planning a passenger terminal northeast of the VIP terminal with a capacity of about 30 million passengers/year.
Vision to 2050 will expand the passenger terminal to meet the capacity of about 50 million passengers/year.
Regarding the cargo terminal, in the period 2021 - 2030, Gia Binh International Airport is planned in the area east of the passenger terminal, meeting the capacity of about 1.6 million tons of cargo/year.

According to calculations by the consulting unit preparing the planning adjustment dossier, the total cost to fully implement the planning indicators of Gia Binh International Airport could reach more than VND 182,000 billion, of which the cost to implement the planning in the period 2021 - 2030 is about VND 120,000 billion.
Masterise Group was established in 2007, formerly Thao Dien Investment Joint Stock Company (TDI). In 2019, TDI changed its name to Masterise Group Joint Stock Company.
In the document changing the content of business registration at the end of the first quarter of 2025, Masterise Group said it had increased its charter capital from VND 2,423 billion to VND 6,737 billion.
