Training on recruitment and management of foreign workers

On January 10, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs held a training conference on recruitment and management of foreign workers working in Vietnam; Labor safety and hygiene; and Human resource training in line with business needs. Attending the training class were representatives of many businesses in the province.

Delegates were informed of the contents of Decree No. 70/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 152/2020/ND-CP dated December 30, 2020 of the Government regulating foreign workers working in Vietnam and recruiting and managing Vietnamese workers working for foreign organizations and individuals in Vietnam, effective from February 15, 2021; Instructions on implementing administrative procedures related to determining the need to employ foreign workers and granting permits to foreign workers according to the provisions of Decision No. 894/QD-UBND dated October 23, 2023 of the Provincial People's Committee; Training some skills and expertise for officers in charge of legal affairs and human resources, and directly discussing and resolving difficulties and problems in the process of applying labor laws and other related contents on occupational safety and hygiene; training human resources in line with business needs...

At the conference, delegates discussed issues related to the process of applying for work permits for foreigners; administrative procedures related to the issuance of work permits, residence permits, and visas for foreign workers in positions such as experts, technical workers, short-term workers, etc.
