Tay Ninh determined to achieve the goal of no more poor households by 2030

Cattle farming contributes to improving and increasing income for people in rural areas.

According to the review results, by 2025, Tay Ninh province will have 3,027 poor households, accounting for 0.37% of the population. During the year, the province aims to reduce the number of poor households by 409, striving to reduce this rate to only about 0.32% by the end of the year. However, the progress of disbursement of capital for the program is still slow.

As of early August 2025, the total disbursed budget had only reached about VND 334.7 million, equivalent to 0.42% of the central budget allocation. The main reason was that adjusting the capital plan and completing procedures after merging two-level local governments took a lot of time, affecting the implementation progress.

Faced with that reality, the province determined that it needed more drastic and synchronous solutions to complete the poverty reduction target for the 2026-2030 period. The key goal is to reduce multidimensional poverty, limit the situation of re-poverty, improve the quality of people's lives and strive to have no poor households according to the Central standards by 2030. To achieve this goal, the capital demand for the 2026-2030 period is estimated at more than 264.2 billion VND.

Lemon trees are growing in some communes in the province, contributing to increasing people's income.

To achieve the goal of no more poor households by 2030 and improve the quality of new rural areas, the province will accelerate capital disbursement, simplify administrative procedures; review and adjust the set of new rural criteria, strengthen training for commune officials; upgrade rural traffic, schools, and medical infrastructure; support the development of cooperatives, link value chains, apply science and technology, and digital transformation; implement preferential credit policies, support groups of poor households that are unable to work with separate policies; promote propaganda and emulation movements for the poor, arouse the spirit of self-reliance, and avoid dependence.

With the drastic participation of the entire political system, the companionship of businesses, the social community and the efforts of the people, Tay Ninh is determined to complete the goal of no more poor households by 2030, contributing to building the province to be increasingly developed and sustainable./.
