Tay Ninh strengthens inspection, examination and handling of environmental violations

On August 25, comrade Huynh Thanh Dat, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, and the working delegation had a working session with the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee on implementing the Party's policies and guidelines on proactively responding to climate change, strengthening resource management and environmental protection.

At the working session, Tay Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quyet said that Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee recommended that the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission regularly orient and organize training courses on propaganda work, implement the Party's guidelines and policies on propaganda and mass mobilization work, including the field of natural resources and environment; develop propaganda documents with specific characteristics on climate change according to regional characteristics to increase the effectiveness of propaganda work.

Tay Ninh recommends that relevant ministries and branches continue to review, develop and perfect legal documents on climate change and incentive policies to promote socialization and mobilize resources to protect the environment and respond to climate change.

At the same time, pay attention to and support capital from the central budget reserve for the province to implement urgent projects to prevent riverbank erosion and saltwater intrusion; projects to stabilize residents in disaster areas; invest in and build irrigation systems, multi-purpose reservoirs, water supply systems to serve sustainable development and adapt to climate change...

Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Huynh Thanh Dat highly appreciated Tay Ninh's efforts in proactively responding to climate change, strengthening resource management and environmental protection. Comrade Huynh Thanh Dat suggested that Tay Ninh continue to pay attention to improving the effectiveness of propaganda work, disseminating the Party and State's policies and guidelines on responding to climate change, strengthening resource management and environmental protection to raise awareness of Party committees, authorities and people, especially ethnic minorities.

Specialized sectors need to strengthen inspection, examination, handling of violations, synchronously deploying measures to prevent and reduce environmental pollution; effectively implement resource management, environmental protection, and climate change prevention and control. At the same time, strengthen the implementation of cooperation and linkage models between local authorities, businesses, and scientists to promote research and application of scientific and technological advances in the fields of agriculture and environment...

Regarding the proposals and recommendations of Tay Ninh province, the working group will fully absorb, synthesize, and report to the Central Government to advise on perfecting policies on resource management, environmental protection, climate change response, and linking with science and technology development, innovation, and digital transformation in accordance with reality.
