Thai Binh commune was established on the basis of merging Thai Binh Farm town, Lam Ca commune and Thai Binh commune. Currently, the commune has more than 2,000 households with more than 8,000 people. Doctor Dang Van Ha, Head of Thai Binh Commune Health Station, informed: Every year, the station builds a plan to implement population and development work. In which, we direct medical staff , in charge of population to coordinate with commune organizations to communicate about population with diverse content suitable for each subject such as: population policy, family planning, reproductive health, newborn screening... At the same time, we organize consultations, talk on topics, distribute leaflets and documents to help people understand and implement population policy well. Every month, we organize meetings, update information on population changes to promptly update on the population information system.

From the beginning of 2025 to now, the Commune Health Station has organized nearly 100 communication sessions, integrating population with nearly 4,000 participants. In particular, the station has deployed a variety of propaganda forms, combined in vaccination sessions, medical examination and treatment, health consultation... to promote the effectiveness of population communication work; organized thematic talks in villages, hamlets, and residential blocks; visited households to communicate about population, family planning consultation. From the beginning of 2025 to now, the Commune Health Station has organized 36 thematic talks, with more than 1,200 listeners, visited households over 200 times. Propaganda work has also been expanded through the commune's loudspeaker system 58 times.

Ms. Chu Thi Hong, Hoa An village shared: Thanks to the propaganda of the commune health station staff about population policy, my knowledge has been improved. Since then, by properly implementing the population policy, my family has had two children before the age of 35. We also received advice from the commune health station staff about effective family planning measures.

At the same time, the commune effectively promotes the activities of the population collaborators, promptly reports information, data, and population situation, and is the "extended arm" of the Commune Health Station, contributing to the successful implementation of population policy and family planning. Ms. Tran Thanh Huong, a population collaborator of Binh Nguyen village, said: The village has nearly 180 households, with more than 500 people. I regularly "go to every alley, knock on every door" to propagate about population policy. At the same time, every month I provide accurate information and data on population fluctuations to the Commune Health Station. Through propaganda, up to now, in the village, over 90% of couples use contraceptive methods, 100% of children of the right age are fully vaccinated according to regulations...

Thanks to the active and effective implementation of population communication work and the diverse approaches, Thai Binh commune has achieved outstanding results in population work - family planning. For example, from the beginning of 2025 up to now, the commune has mobilized over 700 people to implement family planning (achieving 114% of the yearly plan); 100% of pregnant mothers are screened before birth; 100% of newborns are screened at birth; 100% of couples are counseled on pre-marital health...

In the coming time, Thai Binh Commune Health Station and the commune's committees and unions will continue to closely coordinate with the population - family planning collaborators to do a good job of population communication. The main goal is to continue to mobilize couples of childbearing age to implement population policy well, contributing to promoting sustainable socio-economic development in the area.
