(NLDO) – Defeating the world-ranked team New Zealand, the Vietnamese team officially won the right to participate in the quarter-finals of the men's volleyball AVC Nations Cup 2025.

Just a few days after the women's team won the AVC Nations Cup at home, the Vietnamese men's team also arrived in Bahrain to participate in the Asian-level tournament for men's teams. The AVC Nations Cup (formerly the AVC Challenge Cup) is the top continental tournament for national teams, first held in 2018 and taking place annually from 2022. The tournament officially changed its name from this year's season.
