The Government Inspectorate held a meeting with department-level leaders in February.

The report at the meeting showed that in February 2025, the Government Inspectorate made many efforts, implemented work according to the program and work plan and achieved many positive results, especially focusing on completing the Project "arranging the inspection agency system to be streamlined, strong, effective, efficient and effective" for the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee to report to the Central Executive Committee and the Politburo as required.

In addition, the Government Inspectorate has resolutely led and directed the units to deploy their tasks right after the Lunar New Year holiday. Implementing the process for the Government Party Committee Standing Committee to issue decisions on the establishment of the Government Inspectorate Party Committee, appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary and Chairman, Vice Chairman, and members of the Inspection Committee of the Government Inspectorate Party Committee.

During the inspection work, the units, departments and offices issued inspection conclusions for 2 inspections and completed preparations to issue inspection conclusions for 6 inspections.

Regarding the work of receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations, in February 2025, the work of receiving citizens at the Headquarters was well performed and the regular reception of citizens by the leaders of the Government Inspectorate was maintained; serving the extraordinary sessions of the Party Central Committee and the National Assembly; developing a Plan to implement Conclusion No. 107-KL/TW of the Politburo .

In February 2025, the Central Citizen Reception Office received 208 visits with 318 citizens presenting 205 cases; there were 8 large groups with a total of 85 citizens presenting 8 cases. The total number of petitions to be processed was 1,080, of which 958 were classified and processed, and 122 were being processed.

In the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity, the 2025 Work Plan of the Government Inspector General, members of the Steering Committee and the Government Inspectorate was issued and implemented; the tasks assigned in the Conclusion of the 27th Session and the 2025 Work Program of the Steering Committee were carried out.

Concluding the meeting, Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong highly appreciated the performance of the departments, offices and units in the past time. The Deputy Inspectors General closely directed and led the assigned units to carry out their tasks.

Regarding tasks in the coming time, the Inspector General requested departments and units to urgently overcome existing shortcomings and limitations; continue to implement resolutions and directions of the Central Government, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Prime Minister, closely following the work program, plan and direction of the Government Inspectorate's leadership.

In the inspection work, the Inspector General requested departments, bureaus and units to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement resolutions and directions of the Government, Prime Minister, Steering Committee and Party Committee on inspection.

Regarding the work of receiving citizens and handling complaints and denunciations, the Inspector General requested the Central Citizen Reception Committee to take the lead in advising on the effective implementation of citizen reception work at the Headquarters. Urging localities to organize the implementation of legal regulations on citizen reception and to inspect, review and resolve mass, complicated and prolonged complaints and denunciations according to the direction of the Government, the Prime Minister and the plans of the Government Inspectorate.

Regarding the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity, the Inspector General requested Department IV to preside over and advise on the implementation of the following plans: Plan to implement the 2025 work program according to the work program of the Steering Committee; Plan of the Government Inspectorate to perform the tasks of the Government Inspector General and members of the Steering Committee according to the 2025 work program; Plan No. 158/KH-TTCP dated February 11, 2025 on implementing the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity of the Government Inspectorate in 2025. Continue to implement the National Strategy on Preventing and Combating Corruption and Negativity until 2030.

At the same time, urgently advise on issuing the conclusion on asset and income verification in 2022; complete the report and draft conclusion on asset and income verification in 2023; deploy the asset and income verification plan in 2024; advise on issuing the Asset and Income Verification Plan in 2025;...

Departments, divisions, and units proactively advise and implement the Government Inspectorate's plan on organizing activities towards the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam Inspectorate's tradition and the 6th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Inspectorate. Proactively and actively carry out tasks according to the 2025 work program and plan and assigned suddenly; strictly implement working principles, speed up work processing progress, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of direction and administration, and ensure that there are no debts, backlogs, or overdue issues.

At the meeting, the Inspector General requested departments, offices, and units to continue to thoroughly grasp and propagate to civil servants, public employees, and workers to uphold their responsibilities in performing public duties, discipline, and administrative discipline; strictly implement regulations on speaking and protecting state secrets; strengthen monitoring and closely supervise the progress of assigned tasks, proactively grasp the situation in the assigned areas and fields; well implement the information reporting and recommendation regime, and propose timely handling of complicated issues that arise.
