The Cong Viettel recruits 9 new players, including 2 former U.23 Vietnam players

The Cong Viettel Club is expected to have 9 new players in the 2025 - 2026 season. Among them, 4 domestic players are Nguyen Van Viet, Dang Van Tram, Dinh Viet Tu and Dinh Xuan Tien.

In order to fully prepare for the 2025 - 2026 season, The Cong Viettel Club has actively searched for its missing pieces. Colonel Do Manh Dung, Director of Viettel Sports Company, affirmed: "This is an important step in the journey to strengthen the squad and improve the club's competitiveness at the highest level of Vietnamese football, clearly demonstrating the determination of the team's leadership in building a team with both professional depth and a balance between experience and youth."

Nguyen Van Viet and Dinh Xuan Tien were once U.23 Southeast Asian champions.

Nguyen Van Viet is a goalkeeper who won the 2023 Southeast Asian U.23 championship with U.23 Vietnam, played 58 matches in the V-League (including 16 clean sheets) for SLNA. He is a disciplined goalkeeper, always maintains high concentration and has the ability to coordinate well with the defense. The 23-year-old goalkeeper affirmed: "For me, the new environment is both a challenge and a great opportunity. I see the strong reform and great determination of the club before this season."

Dinh Xuan Tien was once the Southeast Asian U.23 champion in the U.23 Vietnam jersey.

Dinh Viet Tu is a physical defender, strong in competition and effective in attacking. Coming to The Cong Viettel, he has the opportunity to work with his old teacher, Coach Velizar Popov.

Meanwhile, Dinh Xuan Tien, the player who won the title of top scorer at the 2023 Southeast Asian U.23 tournament, won the regional U.23 championship twice in a row (2022 and 2023). Dang Van Tram, who won the championship with the army team in the 2020 season. These two pieces continue to further perfect the midfield of The Cong Viettel.

With an expected 9 new faces, this will be the season with the largest number of new recruits for The Cong Viettel in recent years.
