Civil service exam in Thua Thien Hue: Provincial Chairman cannot intervene

Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Chief of Office of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, said that the province is organizing the 2024 civil servant recruitment exam to work at provincial departments, branches and sectors; People's Committees of districts, towns and Hue city.

Specifically, Thua Thien Hue province is recruiting 20 specialists in the fields of economics - finance, construction engineering, agriculture and rural development, culture - society.

This exam had 244 candidates taking part, going through 2 rounds of multiple choice test and professional interview.

On July 28, the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Civil Servant Recruitment Council held the opening ceremony of the 2024 civil servant recruitment exam. In the first round, candidates participated in a computer-based multiple-choice test on two subjects: general knowledge and English.

According to Mr. Giang, the first round of competition was conducted seriously and fairly, supervised by an independent unit, thereby finding 50 excellent candidates to move on to the next round.

Candidates who pass the first round will continue to the second round in the form of interviews on specialized professional subjects.

The test content tests knowledge about the Party's guidelines and policies, laws on the industry and field being recruited; public service performance skills of civil servants according to the requirements of the job position being recruited.

To select a team of virtuous and talented civil servants who meet the requirements and tasks, the leaders of Thua Thien Hue province requested that units uphold their sense of responsibility and strengthen close coordination during the exam organization process to ensure the exam is safe, fair, objective and in accordance with regulations.

Mr. Giang affirmed that no one can influence or change the results of the contest, even the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee cannot intervene.
