The timing of the normalization deal's completion has been revealed.

On September 21, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen said that a framework agreement between his country and Saudi Arabia brokered by the US could become a reality by early 2024.

Speaking on Israel Army Radio, Foreign Minister Cohen said: “The gap between the two countries can be narrowed. It will take time, but the relationship will progress. I think for sure in about 4-5 months, in the first quarter of 2024, the details (of an agreement) will be completed.”

The normalization of Israel-Saudi Arabia relations is expected to significantly change the situation in the Middle East, officially bringing two major US partners closer together and facing Iran. Therefore, this is considered a foreign policy boost for US President Joe Biden as he seeks re-election in late 2024.

Previously, on September 20, Mr. Biden expressed optimism about the prospect of normalizing this relationship during talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meeting.

Meanwhile, according to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the agreement to normalize relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel is getting closer every day.
