On the morning of August 30 at 6:30 a.m., Hanoi will hold a general rehearsal for the military parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (A80) at Ba Dinh Square and many central streets.

According to the forecast, the weather in Hanoi on the day of the A80 rehearsal has a high chance of rain:

Morning: showers and thunderstorms, probability 60-70%, temperature 26-31°C.

Afternoon: moderate to heavy rain, probability 70-80%, temperature 26-27°C.

Night: moderate rain, heavy rain with thunderstorms, probability 70-80%, temperature 24-25°C.

People going out to attend and watch parades should bring raincoats and protective gear to avoid health effects.

Meteorological Center forecasts, from the evening of August 29 to August 31:

Thanh Hoa - Thua Thien Hue: heavy to very heavy rain, total amount 150-350 mm, locally over 600 mm.

Northern midlands and deltas and Da Nang : commonly 100-200 mm, locally over 400 mm.

Heavy rain can cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban areas, industrial zones, and also poses the risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas and steep slopes.
