On the morning of February 10, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and relevant sectors to organize a conference to unify the content and agenda of the session to resolve urgent matters of the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026.
Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Provincial Party Secretary, spoke at the conference.
Comrades: Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the conference. Attending the conference were comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and a number of sectors.
As planned, the meeting to resolve urgent matters will take place on February 18, 2025. At the meeting, the Provincial People's Committee will consider and discuss the proposals of the Provincial People's Committee on the proposal to issue a resolution on merging a number of departments, including: Department of Finance and Department of Planning and Investment into Department of Finance; Department of Science and Technology, Department of Information and Communications into Department of Science and Technology; Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Natural Resources and Environment into Department of Agriculture and Environment; Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, Department of Home Affairs into Department of Home Affairs; Department of Transport and Department of Construction into Department of Construction. The meeting will also consider and discuss the proposals of the Provincial People's Committee on the proposal to approve the list of projects that must change the purpose of land use with rice-growing land area according to the planning in Thai Binh province; the proposal to approve the list of works and projects that must recover land in Thai Binh province in 2025 and a number of other important contents.
Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council spoke at the conference.
Speaking at the conference, along with emphasizing the importance of the session, Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, also welcomed the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee for fully grasping the direction of the Central Government and the province in arranging and streamlining the organizational apparatus; on that basis, urgently coordinate to immediately organize an extraordinary session of the Provincial People's Council to ensure that the merger of departments is carried out in accordance with the law, while creating momentum for economic growth for the province.
The comrade basically agreed with the contents and time of the meeting and requested additional information on the province's mechanisms and policies to support cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in implementing the arrangement and streamlining of the organizational apparatus.
Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the conference.
Comrade Dang Thanh Giang, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council spoke at the conference.
Comrade Lai Van Hoan, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the conference.
In his concluding remarks, Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council accepted the direction of the Provincial Party Committee Secretary; at the same time, requested relevant sectors to promptly complete the submissions and draft resolutions to ensure quality, compliance with the law and procedures, on that basis, transfer them to the Provincial People's Council committees to organize the review and delegates have time to study and contribute quality opinions at the session.
He also requested the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council to coordinate with relevant units to carefully prepare conditions for the meeting.
