The Prime Minister approved the election results of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province.

(NLDO) – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed a decision approving the election results for the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province for Mr. Tran Phong.

Quang Binh Provincial Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang presented flowers to congratulate Mr. Tran Phong on being elected as Chairman of Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee.

On December 17, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 1586/QD-TTg approving the election results for the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province, term 2021 - 2026, for Mr. Tran Phong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Dong Hoi City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Dong Hoi city.

The decision takes effect from December 17, 2024.

As reported by the Lao Dong Newspaper , on December 11, at the year-end meeting of the 18th term Quang Binh Provincial People's Council to complete personnel work, Mr. Tran Phong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Dong Hoi City Party Committee was introduced to be elected as Chairman of the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee.

With 44/44 delegates present in favor (100%), the People's Council of Quang Binh province passed the Resolution to elect Mr. Tran Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province, term 2021 - 2026.

Biography and career of Mr. Tran Phong

Mr. Tran Phong was born in 1974, hometown: Quang Phuong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province. Political theory level: Advanced; Professional level: University of General Business Administration; Degree: Master of Economics.

Before becoming Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province, he held many important positions: Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bo Trach district; Permanent Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province.

In October 2020, Mr. Tran Phong was elected to the Provincial Party Standing Committee and held the position of Secretary of the Dong Hoi City Party Committee. At the recent conference of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Executive Committee, he was elected Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee. With rich experience in many fields, Mr. Tran Phong is expected to lead Quang Binh to strong development in the new period.
