On July 19, the Thanh Hoa Health Sector Trade Union held a conference to review the movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLĐ) and union activities in the first 6 months of the year; directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2024; and celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024). Comrades: Mai Ba Nam, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation; Do Thai Hoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Health attended the conference.

Conference presentations.

In the first 6 months of 2024, the Thanh Hoa Health Sector Trade Union proactively reviewed and proposed full and timely implementation of policies and regimes for employees in accordance with regulations. The work of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees has been implemented by the industry trade union.

On the occasion of Lunar New Year and "Workers' Month" in 2024, trade unions at all levels visited and presented thousands of gifts to support union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances with a total value of over 1.5 billion VND.

From the Thanh Hoa Trade Union's Employee Support Fund, the health sector union awarded funding to build a "Trade Union Shelter" for two union members with a total amount of 75 million VND.

Many grassroots trade unions have carried out charitable and meaningful activities, demonstrating the deep concern of the trade union organization for union members, contributing to sharing the difficulties and hardships of union members' families on the occasion of the traditional New Year of the nation; at the same time, encouraging families to continue to strive and overcome difficulties to fulfill their tasks well in the family and in society.

Comrade Truong Viet Dung, Chairman of the Health Sector Trade Union, delivered the opening speech at the conference.

The work of developing union members and establishing unions outside the State-owned establishments has received much attention. The Health Sector Union has newly established one grassroots union (achieving 50% of the target assigned by the Provincial Federation of Labor) with 16 union members; and developed 348 new union members (achieving 116%) at affiliated grassroots unions.

At the conference, the leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation and the Department of Health awarded the Medal for the cause of building trade union organizations to 3 individuals; awarded prizes to individuals with high achievements in the provincial sports festival for workers and employees; awarded prizes to the video and clip contest "Charming Ao Dai of female cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the Thanh Hoa health sector" on Youtube channel.
