Hai Duong's import and export tax increased by nearly 12.2%

The group of 10 large enterprises always maintains a proportion of nearly 1/3 of the total import and export turnover of goods of Hai Duong province.

Particularly, the value of goods cleared through Hai Duong Customs Branch reached over 3 billion 883 million USD, an increase of nearly 18.75%. Export turnover increased by about 20%, import turnover increased by over 17% compared to the first quarter of 2023. This is a positive signal right from the beginning of the year.

In the first quarter of 2024, Hai Duong Customs Branch processed 100,978 import-export declarations, an increase of nearly 36.5% over the same period last year. Import-export tax through this unit reached over VND 729 billion, equal to nearly 28% of the year's estimate and an increase of over 12% over the same period last year.

Brother Industrial Vietnam Co., Ltd. is the enterprise with the highest import-export turnover, with nearly 178 million USD in exports and over 156 million USD in imports. Some economies are recovering, which is the fundamental reason for businesses to have more export orders. Thanks to that, many businesses in Hai Duong province have initially had favorable conditions in exporting and importing goods.

Hai Duong province's target this year is to achieve a total export turnover of 11 billion 800 million USD, an increase of 20.4% compared to 2023.
