Seriously ill wounded soldiers are transferred directly to the final line.

This is the regime for wounded soldiers being cared for at Thuan Thanh War Invalids Nursing Center, Bac Ninh province.

That was the sharing of Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan in the program " Comprehensive medical access - health care for people with meritorious services" held at Thuan Thanh Nursing Center for War Invalids, Bac Ninh on January 23.

Thuan Thanh War Invalids Nursing Center (a unit under the Department of People with Merits, Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs) is one of the places to nurture and treat seriously wounded and sick soldiers, with the largest number of wounded and seriously disabled soldiers in the country.

In order to show gratitude and take care of the health of war invalids and sick soldiers, the Ministry of Health and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association organized a program to examine patients, give gifts, and wish a Happy New Year to war invalids and sick soldiers and grateful cadres.

Mr. Thuan shared that the voluntary medical examination and health care program is not only a demonstration of the social responsibility of the Ministry of Health and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, but also a manifestation of the deep gratitude and dedication of all of us to those who have dedicated and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

"In 2024, the Ministry of Health received directive documents from Party and State leaders. The directives focused on three main contents, of which two contents related to the Ministry of Health were directly directed by the Minister of Health and have been resolved.

Specifically, regarding the guarantee of health insurance policy conditions for wounded and sick soldiers being cared for at the center, they will receive primary health care at Thuan Thanh Town Medical Center. In cases with severe progression, they will be transferred directly to central hospitals, without having to go through the provincial hospital.

Regarding the upgrading of the medical room's operations, the Ministry of Health has directed the units to issue licenses for medical examination and treatment activities in accordance with the law. At the same time, it is requested that the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs pay attention to investing, repairing and upgrading facilities, and purchasing equipment according to the center's request," Mr. Thuan stated.

At the program, the wounded soldiers were examined by doctors, given specialized blood tests, ultrasounds, electrocardiograms, and acupressure for the wounded soldiers, their caregivers, and the center's staff.

Established in 1965, after nearly 60 years of formation and development, the center has received, managed, cared for, treated and rehabilitated more than 1,000 seriously wounded and sick soldiers injured on battlefields and from almost all provinces across the country for convalescence, treatment and rehabilitation.
