The Provincial People's Council Standing Committee held the 37th meeting

On March 20, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, term XI, 2021-2026, held the 37th meeting to evaluate the results of the Provincial People's Council's activities in the first quarter and deploy tasks for the second quarter of 2024. Comrades: Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Minh Luc, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the meeting. Attending were comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades members of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of a number of relevant departments and branches.

In the first quarter, the Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Council Committees have performed well their functions, tasks and powers according to the provisions of law and the work program. They have successfully organized two sessions of the Provincial People's Council to resolve unexpected issues, promptly creating a legal basis to serve the socio-economic development tasks of the province. They have promptly directed the development and implementation of plans to implement the monitoring program, the key work program in 2024, activities to celebrate the New Year of the Dragon 2024, the implementation of socio -economic tasks in the first quarter... In addition, they have organized work and guided the activities of the People's Councils of districts and cities; reviewed and urged the implementation of tasks and socio-economic development targets in 2024 in localities. Prepared to organize thematic meetings with voters; maintained citizen reception, urged the settlement of complaints and denunciations; Coordinate promptly and closely with the Provincial People's Committee in providing opinions and solutions according to authority, order and procedures as prescribed by law; examine and advise on contents assigned by the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee.

Tasks in the second quarter, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council will organize thematic supervision of the Provincial People's Council on "Results of implementing policies and laws on tourism development in the province, period 2021-2023". Directing the preparation for organizing thematic voter meetings, explanation sessions, and developing a table to evaluate the quality of activities of Provincial People's Council delegates. Directing the supervision and urging to promote the implementation of key tasks and solutions on socio-economic development and state budget estimates for the first 6 months of the year. Directing the preparation of content and agenda for the regular mid-year session of 2024 and thematic sessions, sessions to resolve unexpected issues. Organizing thematic voter meetings, voter meetings before the regular mid-year session of 2024 of the Provincial People's Council...

At the meeting, the leaders of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council approved the Plan for meeting with voters on the topic "Promoting the development of the marine economy associated with improving the quality of life, material and spiritual life of the people, protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands" scheduled to be held in the second quarter; the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council reported the results of monitoring the implementation of the Thai Hoa General Hospital project.

Concluding the meeting, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council highly appreciated the results of the Provincial People's Council in the first quarter; requested the Standing Committee, Committees and each delegate of the Provincial People's Council to continue to promote the spirit of responsibility to overcome difficulties and limitations in completing tasks, programs and plans set out in the second quarter, contributing to promoting and accelerating the successful implementation of the goals for 2024 as well as the entire term; in which, some key tasks were noted: Strengthening the effectiveness of supervision; reviewing the guidance on the questioning and explanation process, organizing supervision activities in accordance with regulations. For the supervisions of the Provincial People's Council Committees, there should be comprehensive, specific and clear research and assessment on the supervision issue. The Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council should well prepare the contents of the evaluation of the areas of work of the Provincial People's Council in the first 6 months of the year. Continue to complete the assessment form of the quality of activities of the Provincial People's Council delegates. Review the operating regulations of the Party Delegation and the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council to implement them strictly and in accordance with regulations. Regarding the organization of meetings with voters on the topic "Promoting the development of the marine economy associated with improving the quality of life, material and spiritual life of the people, protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands", it is necessary to research, identify, guide and orient voters and people on key and urgent issues and contents in the implementation of policies related to the development of the marine economy. Regarding the Thai Hoa General Hospital Project, all levels and functional branches continue to coordinate in researching, reviewing and identifying remaining problems and shortcomings, proposing solutions to ensure the implementation of the project in accordance with legal regulations.
