Receiving and treating fishermen from Binh Dinh province who were in distress at sea in Truong Sa

At about 8:00 a.m. on August 13, while fishing for seafood in the sea 12 nautical miles from Truong Sa Island, Mr. Vo Van Hiep, 54 years old, Tam Quang ward, Hoai Nhon town, Binh Dinh province, had pain in the epigastric region, which gradually increased, without vomiting, and had normal urination and defecation.

The patient was taken to Truong Sa Medical Center by the BD 98573 TS ship for emergency treatment at 8:30 a.m. on August 14. Through diagnosis and monitoring, the patient was diagnosed with gastrointestinal infection, gastroenteritis, and high blood pressure.

The patient was tested by the medical team of Truong Sa Medical Center for blood count, blood biochemistry, X-ray, emergency abdominal ultrasound, rehydration, electrolytes, antibiotics, secretion reduction, intravenous nutrition, and blood pressure reduction. Currently, vital signs M75; BP 180/100; SpO2 98% spontaneous breathing, temperature 37 degrees; still has dull pain in the abdomen around the navel. Risks of surgical abdomen, acute pancreatitis, progressive infection have not been ruled out...

The forces continue to monitor and actively treat with internal medicine, antibiotics, reduce secretions, intravenous nutrition, and monitor the condition of the abdomen.
