Although there are still many pessimistic opinions, but with many years of experience in teaching, working as a manager and now retired, I believe that teachers are not alone in the path of educating students. Dignity in education will still be maintained with the tradition of respecting teachers.

To do this, the following needs to be done:
Parents: Balancing love and strictness in disciplining children
More than anyone else, parents understand their children's temperament, their positive and negative aspects in behavior in class and at home. The saying "Love your children, give them the rod and spank them" should be understood correctly as a balance between love and strictness in teaching. For children with personality, in addition to home-based measures, parents should discuss with homeroom teachers and subject teachers so that teachers can be flexible and skillful in teaching, closely coordinating with parents without creating resistance for the "not yet full, not yet worried" age group. If teachers understand each student well, with teaching methods and experience, they will behave appropriately, not letting bad situations happen during the teaching process.
School: "First learn manners, then learn literature"
At each time, based on the school situation, the school chooses one or two topics to focus on instructing students as well as teachers and school staff.
The school focuses on school psychological counseling, integrated (synchronized) through teaching, extracurricular activities, covering but implementing the key points. For classes with "problems", experienced teachers are assigned to take charge, and school leaders pay much and regular attention, to prevent "terror" incidents from happening.
"Learning manners first, then learning knowledge" is even more necessary in the current educational context; straying from that philosophy is a very high price to pay. In the process of movement and development of each school, this will be an important basis for implementing "discipline, love, and responsibility".
Focus on training skills for teachers and school administrators
Nearly half a century ago, during the educational psychology oral exam, I received an additional question: "What would you do if a student 'swears'?". I answered that the teacher should stay calm and flexibly educate the student. There are always wild horses in the schoolyard, and in any era, the professional competence, courage and rich life experience of a teacher are always indispensable provisions for each school day. Good teachers are loved by students; tolerant teachers are admired by students. That is the "shield" that protects teachers in any situation.
Teachers should not try to "win" over students, the teaching method does not teach that. Teaching people, as a rule, the progress of each student is always the result of love and tolerance, which we teachers give through the performance of our mission. The happiness of the teaching profession is the harvest after many years, since the time of organizing the gratitude and maturity ceremony on the occasion of the students' graduation.
In addition, schools need to regularly train and focus on helping teachers have the skills to educate students in the face of countless situations that occur in the classroom, school yard, during regular school hours, experiential activities and even on social networks. In reality, many teachers are confused and clumsy when dealing with outstanding issues in relationships with colleagues, parents and students. Emotional imbalance makes teachers fearful, insecure, or even "eager to win" in the school environment, causing serious damage to the education sector.
Along with training teachers' skills, schools need to closely monitor the situation of their units, grasp developments, and understand the circumstances of teachers, students, and parents - especially "hot spots" - to quickly support, advise, and handle them.

Apply appropriate forms of student discipline
Through the recent incident at Dai Kim Secondary School ( Hanoi ), and a number of similar incidents, it is recommended that the Ministry of Education and Training re-evaluate Circular 19/2025/TT-BGDDT, which regulates forms of student discipline.
The set of guidelines is specific, on that basis, each school applies it appropriately. Some students like to be coaxed, some accept "strict" words; some students write self-criticisms which are appropriate, but there are also students who can only change through cleaning the classroom, being punished by reading books, being confined, or having a more severe disciplinary measure. Sometimes, the form of discipline that is considered humane is actually just a variation - external, while the content of student education has constants - the more loving, the more strict one must be in instructing students.
I have been a teacher and a principal for many years, and only as a last resort have I had to suspend students for a period of time. My colleagues are the same. Schools are cautious when disciplining students. Behind the disciplinary decision are positive measures to educate students.
