The parade rehearsal in Hanoi (preparing for the parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam - A80) takes place from 8:00 p.m. today at Ba Dinh Square.

This event attracted special attention from people across the country and international observers. From noon on August 21, thousands of people flocked to the central area of Hanoi to watch the general training session.

Satellite data at 6 p.m. on August 21 shows that there is no sign of rain in Hanoi and the Northeastern provinces from Cao Bang , Quang Ninh to Ninh Binh between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. However, the humidity in the air is high and the weather is quite cool. Temperature is 28 degrees Celsius.

On the afternoon of August 21, the Northern Hydrometeorological Station broadcast information on the weather situation in Hanoi to serve the general training session.
According to the forecast, before 7pm on August 21, Hanoi has a 65-75% chance of rain with temperatures ranging from 27-29 degrees Celsius. From 7pm to 10pm tonight, the chance of rain will decrease to 55-65%, with temperatures ranging from 26-27 degrees Celsius. From 10pm to 1am on August 22, the chance of rain will remain at 55-65% and temperatures will drop to around 25-27 degrees Celsius.

The Northern Region Hydrometeorological Station also warned of convective cloud areas forming in many inner and outer areas of Hanoi such as Thu Lam, Dong Anh, Tay Ho, Ba Dinh, Ha Dong and Duong Noi.
In the next few hours, these clouds are likely to develop and move, causing showers, heavy thunderstorms and possible tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind in some inner-city wards of Hanoi such as Yen Hoa, Nghia Do, and Giang Vo.
Meteorological experts say that with the weather still changing, training and travel activities in preparation for the A80 Festival need to have a backup plan to ensure absolute safety for the participating forces as well as people watching at the scene.
