Summary of construction work of 500kV project, circuit 3, Quang Trach

Under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, this morning (December 8), the Government held an online conference to summarize the investment and construction work of the 500kV line 3 projects from Quang Trach to Phoi Noi. Attending and chairing at the Nghe An bridge point were comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh - Commander of Military Region IV.

The 500kV Line 3 project has a total length of 519 km, 1,177 pole positions, 513 anchorages, passing through 211 communes/wards in 9 provinces with a total investment of more than 22,300 billion VND. This is a key, urgent project, of great significance to improve the stability of the power system operation, increase power supply to the North in 2024 and the following years, contributing to ensuring national energy security.

To complete the project on schedule, record-breaking speed of site clearance is one of the important factors. Contractors have also made efforts to overcome all difficulties, organizing the construction with the motto of "3 shifts, 4 shifts", "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain", "through holidays and days off".

In the spirit of promoting the combined strength of the entire political system from the Government, ministries, branches, local authorities at all levels, the people have joined hands and unanimously overcome all difficulties, innovated the way of working to bring the 500kV line project, circuit 3, to the finish line on schedule and energized after more than 6 months of construction. Many lessons have also been drawn as the Prime Minister has repeatedly emphasized: "Resources originate from thinking, vision, motivation originates from innovation and creativity, strength originates from people and businesses".

The 500kV line, circuit 3, passing through Nghe An province, passes through 6 districts and towns with a total length of nearly 100 km, with 2 component projects: Quang Trach - Quynh Luu and Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa . Determining this as an important and urgent project, the province has focused on directing the work of compensation and site clearance, promptly removing difficulties on the ground.

After 52 days of construction, Nghe An has completed the handover of 202 column foundation positions and after 5 months has completed the handover of 203/203 column intervals; Closely coordinated and supported the investor in mobilizing forces, means, and materials on site; 90% of ordinary laborers to serve the project construction, mobilized nearly 5,000 people, officers, soldiers, and youth union members to contribute tens of thousands of working days to complete the project on schedule.

Concluding the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, on behalf of the Government, respectfully thanked the people, cadres and workers of the electricity sector; Party committees, authorities, political systems, socio-political organizations of the 9 provinces where the project passes through; and press agencies from the central and local levels for their sacrifices, efforts, and determination to ensure that the 500kV line 3 project is completed on schedule.

Emphasizing some lessons learned, the Prime Minister said that it is necessary to promote the strength of national solidarity, mobilize the strength of the entire political system; the leadership of the Party, the implementation of government at all levels, the participation of the people; promote important resources, motivations, and strengths; promptly remove institutional obstacles; so that the project ensures progress, quality, and no price increases...

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested Party committees and authorities at all levels to continue taking care of the lives of people who have relocated their houses for the project and to reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in recent times.

In the coming time, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the country's important goals in 2025 and said that it is necessary to continue promoting growth, striving to exceed double digits.

Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Military Command attended the conference at Nghe An bridge.

"If the economy grows by double digits, electricity growth must be 1.5 times higher. This is a difficult goal, but no matter how difficult it is, we must do it. We are determined to achieve it with breakthrough solutions, century-old projects, and absolutely not let there be a power shortage," Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized.

In addition, we must promote self-reliance, self-strengthening, courage, flexibility, creativity and innovation to implement and ensure the set goals. Ensure adequate power supply, effective and reasonable power transmission and distribution. From the perspective of mobilizing people's strength, coordinating with other enterprises; promptly remove institutional obstacles, build policies to mobilize resources with the spirit: "The Party has directed, the Government has agreed, the National Assembly agrees, the people support, the Fatherland expects", with the spirit of "only discuss and do, not discuss backward".

The Electricity Industry must increase the application of science and technology, artificial intelligence to develop at the right level, in the right direction; Build a database, which is the output for the smart electricity industry in the new era.
