Education in Vinh Phuc ward (Phu Tho) sets big goals in the new era

The 2024-2025 school year marked an important milestone when the Department of Education and Training of Vinh Yen City (old), now Vinh Phuc Ward and Vinh Yen continued to affirm its pioneering position, maintaining the top position in the province for 6 consecutive years in terms of teaching and learning quality. This achievement is the crystallization of the efforts of the team of teachers and students, along with the attention and support of the local Party Committee, government and people.

The quality of comprehensive education is maintained stably with 100% of 5-year-old children attending school, universal primary education at the right age and secondary education reaching level 3; illiteracy eradication reaching level 2 - the highest level. The rate of 5th graders completing primary school is 100%, and 9th graders considered for recognition of secondary school graduation is 95.3%.

The 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year continued to affirm the quality of the input, when 189/490 candidates from Vinh Yen City were admitted to Vinh Phuc Specialized High School (accounting for 42.6%). Notably, students from the city won 6 valedictorians in Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Mathematics, Literature, French and 7 salutatorians in many other subjects. In addition, 7 students were admitted to the high school system of universities.

For non-specialized high schools, Vinh Yen continues to lead the province in terms of average scores of 3 subjects in the 10th grade entrance exam. 100% of secondary schools are in the top 100 of the province, of which 8/9 schools increased their rankings compared to the previous school year. Cultural, artistic and sports activities are maintained and strongly spread, contributing to training skills and cultivating students' personalities.

Facilities and teaching equipment continue to receive investment attention. Schools are fully equipped with minimum teaching equipment for kindergarten, primary and secondary schools; libraries, laboratories and sports equipment are added, creating an increasingly modern learning environment.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam - Chairman of Vinh Phuc Ward People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts of the local education sector. Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam emphasized: To successfully carry out the tasks of the 2025-2026 school year, schools need to carefully prepare all conditions, including the national online opening ceremony on September 5.

At the same time, it is necessary to synchronously implement Resolution No. 71 dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo on breakthrough in education and training development, deeply aware of the viewpoint that "education is the top national policy". The ward education sector must proactively innovate school governance, promptly advise the Party Committee and the government to have solutions suitable to reality. Along with that, build a team of teachers with qualities, capacity, equal to the task; strengthen training and fostering to meet the requirements of innovation.

Many groups and individuals were awarded on this occasion.

The conference also recognized the important role of coordination between family, school and society in educating the young generation. On this occasion, the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc Ward awarded Certificates of Merit to many groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in the past school year.

Inheriting the achievements of Vinh Yen city (old), in the new development period, the education sector of Vinh Phuc ward sets the goal of being the top among 15 wards of Phu Tho province and junior high school graduates can communicate in English as set out in the Resolution of the ward congress for the 2025-2030 term.
