Summary of the exhibition "Agent Orange - Conscience and Justice"

This morning, August 29, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presided over and coordinated with the Central Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin of Vietnam, the Association of People with Disabilities, Agent Orange Victims, Support for People with Disabilities and Protection of Children's Rights of the province and related units to organize the closing ceremony of the exhibition "Agent Orange - Conscience and Justice" - Quang Tri 2024. Colonel Pham Xuan Hung, Vice President of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin of Vietnam attended.

The exhibition "Agent Orange - Conscience and Justice" - Quang Tri 2024 took place from July 19 to August 29, 2024 at the Quang Tri Provincial Museum, introducing more than 330 images, documents, and artifacts on the following topics: Agent Orange disaster and Agent Orange pain; Vietnam overcoming the consequences of chemical warfare; 20-year journey of establishment and operation of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin and the journey to demand justice for Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin; Examples of overcoming difficulties and golden hearts for victims of Agent Orange; Military Region 4 and Quang Tri province overcoming the Agent Orange disaster, caring for and helping victims, and activities of the Association of People with Disabilities, Agent Orange Victims, Sponsoring People with Disabilities and Protecting Children's Rights in Quang Tri province.

During the exhibition "Agent Orange - Conscience and Justice" - Quang Tri 2024, more than 2,000 domestic and international visitors came to visit. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism directed the Quang Tri Provincial Museum to ensure good conditions for welcoming, explaining, and guiding visitors during the exhibition "Agent Orange - Conscience and Justice" - Quang Tri 2024; ensuring the safety of artifacts and images displayed at the exhibition...

The exhibition "Agent Orange - Conscience and Justice" - Quang Tri 2024 aims to propagate the serious consequences of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam; the attention of the Party, State, Party committees and authorities in overcoming the consequences of toxic chemicals during the war in Vietnam; to propagate, educate, raise awareness and responsibility of all classes of people, especially the young generation, about the morality of "remembering the source when drinking water", "repaying gratitude", the tradition of mutual love of the nation; encourage organizations and individuals at home and abroad, international friends... to join hands to ease the pain of Agent Orange, support the struggle for justice for Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange/dioxin.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin awarded certificates of merit to 9 groups and 12 individuals for their outstanding achievements in organizing the exhibition "Agent Orange - Conscience and Justice" - Quang Tri 2024.
